Samsung intends to launch new linux based operating system for smart phones. His name is Bada.
Bada is an open platform OS. If an application developer can write Bada, Bada will run the application, that was an expectations about Bada OS that in the same level as Nokia-Maemo project’s and Limo Project from Linux Mobile Foundation.
Bada is expected to slide in the first half of 2010. This Mobile OS can also be customized further by telecom operators. Developers probably would have been able to peek Bada at the end of Decemberc 2009.
Bada comes from the Korean word means “ocean” and will be fully open platform.
Meanwhile Samsung phones still uses Symbian platform from Nokia. But sure, Bada Samsung will replacing Symbian and Windows Mobile, at least in the South Korean manufacturer markets.
