The new Blackberry stormed its way in 2008 into a world captivated by the revolutionary iPhone and its 3.5 inch touchscreen with the ambition to be more user-friendly and at the same time, to remain faithful to the corporate user.
With a new touchscreen and innovative features the new berry wants to reconquer all the lost ground in Apple’s favor and to redefine its position on the smart phone market.
The Blackberry Storm is the first of its kind to have a 3.25 inch touchscreen with a keyboard available both in portrait and landscape mode for a more comfortable and faster typing.
Another new and quite unique feature brought about by the new berry is the possibility to edit documents, to do a text search and to benefit from the copy & paste functions.
It is important to mention the fact that the scroll button was replaced by the possibility to scroll with your finger.
Even more, on the Blackberry Storm, RIM has introduced a 3.2 MP camera that is capable of both autofocus and flash, and has the capability to shoot videos.
In terms of looks, the berry is quite similar to the iPhone, but has in addition to the Sure Press touchscreen 4 control buttons.
With its 112 x 62 x 13.9 mm in dimension, the Storm can be considered one of the slimmest berry on the market, surpassed only by the Blackberry Curve 8900.
The entrance of Blackbery Storm on the smart phone market represented RIM’s response to the challenge launched by Apple, joining in this way HTC, G1 and iPhone in their race for conquering the clients’ interest and trust.
